Lagos State: Judicial Panel Of Inquiry Commences Sitting Over Police Brutality

The judicial panel of inquiry set up by the Lagos state government to investigate alleged abuses by the disbanded Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad , SARS on Tuesday began its sitting.

Two cases were brought before the panel whose terms of reference have been expanded by the Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwaolu to include investigations into last Tuesday’s shooting of peaceful EndARS protesters at the Lekki Tollgate, an act allegedly carried out by Nigerian soldiers.

Of which the Nigerian army has denied been  involve  in any shooting.
