The State Government Godwin Obaseki-led administration has reassured the state that the civil service job will be free, fair, transparent, credible and in accordance with global best practices.
The government promise to recruitment over 1,400 professionals into the junior, graduate and experienced cadres of the state’s civil service, as part of the ongoing transformation of the civil and service.

Anthony Okungbowa Esq, Edo State Head of Service in a statement made us to understand that the recruitment exercise will merit-driven in line with the vision of Governor Obaseki and the finest principles and ethics of the Public Service and urged all applicants not to under any circumstance or guise offer any money or other form of inducement or gratification in exchange for any assistance in the recruitment exercise.
“Applicants should note that the recruitment is free of charge. No fee is required to apply and there is no need to go through a consultant to apply for any job.
“Let me reiterate that this recruitment is of major priority to our Governor and in line with his values the recruitment shall be free, fair and merit-driven. We are an equal opportunity employer and each applicant shall stand the same chance of gaining employment with the State civil service”
Okungbowa also added that the recruitment adverts will be placed in two regional newspapers and two national newspapers, aired on radio stations, widely circulated on social media platforms and posted at the Edo State Government website; Civil Service Commission website; State and Local Government Secretariats.
