Our financial commitment to you depends upon your ACT/SAT scores and unweighted high school GPA, and has four levels: 150% of Resident Tuition (approximately $12,240), $7,500, $4,500, or $2,500 USD. American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine Scholarships In USA
This commitment is a merit-based financial pledge determined by student unweighted GPA and ACT/SAT test scores.It is offered as a placeholder and will be funded with individual scholarships that are made possible through the generosity of Foundation donors and/or other institutional aid. Funding of this commitment is contingent on completion of the general application and any applicable recommended applications within WyoScholarships.
To be considered for the Brown and Gold Commitment, students must be admitted to UW and confirmed by May 1st, 11:59 pm MDT:
- Apply for admission and submit the non-refundable $40 admission application fee
- Submit official high school transcripts
- New first-year students will be reviewed using the test optional dollar amount; students who submit ACT/SAT test scores will be evaluated to determine if both unweighted GPA and test scores make them eligible for a possible higher tier
- Be admitted to UW and confirmed by May 1st, 11:59
A student’s commitment may go up based on resubmission of high school transcripts and/or ACT/SAT test scores until May 1st, 11:59 pm MDT.
Initial Eligibility and Scholarship Compliance
- The Brown and Gold Commitment is only available to first-time, entering non-resident freshmen seeking their first bachelor’s degree.
- This scholarship is renewable for up to 8 semesters (4 academic years) or up to the first bachelor’s degree whichever comes first.
- Students must maintain full-time continuous enrollment in Laramie campus courses (12 semester hours) during the Fall and Spring semesters each year but is not available to use during the Summer semester.
- Students must maintain a 3.0 cumulative UW GPA (evaluated at the end of each Spring semester).
- Study abroad students must be in a 4001 level study abroad course, with tuition billed by the university for their commitment or scholarship to pay.
- Details regarding the requirements to receive and renew the Brown and Gold Commitment will be included in the award Terms & Conditions.
The Brown and Gold Commitment and Home Schooled Applicants
The Brown and Gold Commitment provides one of four amounts annually for non-resident home schooled freshmen without a GPA based on their composite ACT/SAT score (see grid to the left). If they have a GPA, the scholarship would be awarded based on the first grid above. The same considerations and eligibility requirements described above apply.
